When working with HMD, I created seasonal content around key events in the social calendar, such as Halloween and Valentine’s Day. These campaigns were an effective way to make the products feel relevant to consumers by tying them into current trends and cultural moments. Seasonal content also helped build emotional connections, as these events are naturally playful, shareable, and engaging.

Halloween

For Halloween, the brief was to create fun, themed content to promote HMD’s latest devices at the time — HMD Fusion, HMD Skyline, and HMD Pulse. I developed unique visuals for each phone, putting the device renders front and center while adding a spooky twist. For Fusion, I introduced a scary hand holding the device; for Skyline, I transformed the phone’s rear camera design into a menacing face; and for Pulse, I placed the device in a moonlit scene complete with bats.

Valentine’s Day

For Valentine’s Day, we promoted the pink devices on offer — the HMD Barbie Phone, HMD Skyline, and HMD Pulse Pro — by creating a concept inspired by high-end fashion editorials. The look and feel drew from minimalist design principles, with a refined colour palette and a premium font treatment for the word Valentine’s, elevating the overall aesthetic.

To reinforce the fashion-forward vibe, we incorporated unused lifestyle images from premium shoots. The reel I designed had a stop-motion quality, crafted frame by frame to achieve a stylish, dynamic effect. Playful scribbles and hand-drawn heart shapes, reminiscent of lipstick doodles, added a touch of charm and personality to the final piece.
