OntheCorner Records

Producing record sleeve artwork and social content.

Working with OntheCorner Records has given me the opportunity to design artwork for a variety of their releases, both digital and vinyl. What I enjoyed most about this collaboration was building on the label’s vibrant, edgy visual identity while bringing my own creative touch to each project. Beyond release artwork, I’ve also created a range of supporting assets, including social media content, tour posters, event materials and Bandcamp Friday sales promotions. On this page you’ll see examples of this as well as a more in-depth dive to some of the artwork design.

Record sleeves

Taking a look at some of the records sleeves I have produced.

Double
Drop vol.ii

To give a bit more context around release artwork, I thought I’d use Double Drop Vol. II as an example. Double Drop was a series of releases where the A and B sides each featured a different artist. For this particular release, the A side was Edrix Puzzle – Rise to Eris, while the B side was ThE DiAboLIcaL LibERTieS – Birds of Paradise.

Below, you’ll find a glimpse into the design process, including some early iterations that eventually led to the final artwork.

Iterations

Here are some examples of the different iterations I went through before landing on the final designs.

Here you can see how each design was developed. While both share a common style—using rich textures and vibrant colours—each incorporates unique elements based on the individual requests of the artists.

Edrix Puzzle – Rise to Eris
This design embraces a neon, rave-inspired palette with a psychedelic, almost surreal feel that mirrors the nature of the music itself. A central request was the inclusion of a wolf, which not only anchors the artwork but also foreshadows the upcoming release Coming of the Moon Dogs.

The Diabolical Liberties – Birds of Paradise
For this release, the artwork reflects the clever spoken-word lyrics that explore everyday life. To capture this, I used a newspaper-cutting style for the typography, paired with imagery and textures provided by the artist to add a personal touch. The birds of paradise are placed against a contrasting urban backdrop, highlighting the tension between beauty and environment.
